BEN KIRK (B. Phty, M. Phty)
Driven by the values of well-being, community and longevity, Ben is passionate about helping people move and heal their body in a way that achieves their individual goals across their entire lifespan.
Ben is highly competent in treating musculoskeletal and neurological conditions and applies his knowledge and experience with genuine care for his patients to provide the best possible experience.
Ben grew up in the Northern Rivers before moving to Melbourne for study, graduating from Monash University in 2011. Ben has over a decade of experience, working across the public health, private practice, and aged care sectors. His desire to provide the best service to his clients led to completing an additional two years of post-graduate physiotherapy training at the University of Queensland, graduating as a Titled Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist in 2022, an additional qualification requiring high levels of knowledge and clinical competency.
Ben's professional scope includes working with Olympic medalists, the Queensland Reds, as well as being a current medical provider for the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia (OWIA). He has also worked locally, providing physiotherapy services to the Ballina Seahorses, Lennox Head Trojans Rugby Clubs and is currently working with the Ballina Bombers AFL club.
Ben is no stranger to injury himself, having spent a lifetime in active pursuits, including competing in athletics and as a snowboarder. Ben won the Stawell 100m in 2017 and achieved multiple Freeride World Tour qualifier podiums in 2019.
A born and raised Lennox Head local, Ben loves the ocean but has found a second home in the wintery ski fields of Japan, where he was Senior Physiotherapist and Clinic Manager of Hakuba Physio for 4 winter seasons. Ben aims to keep himself fit enough to continue snowboarding/skiing for many years to come (and so that he can claim the free lift passes provided to seniors!).
